Investment Profile
Mercury Ventures is currently investing exclusively in public
software companies with market caps of less than $1 billion. Special emphasis is
placed on application software (CRM, business intelligence / optimization, ERP, etc.),
wireless applications and web services. Our typical investment will have strong
technology in a market space that is predicted to grow over the next few years.
Revenues will probably have declined during the past 12-18 months, but are close to
bottoming out. The necessary reorganizations will be substantially complete, and
profitability should be just around the corner.
While making investments directly into our portfolio companies is our preferred method, we also look to acquire blocks of stock from private sellers such as institutions, disgruntled shareholders and employees. Our investment range is between $250,000 and $3,000,000, and we invest in all domestic stock exchanges.
